Code of Conduct

Bothive is a global collaborative effort to build robust, ethical AI automation. To keep it professional and safe, we enforce this Code of Conduct across public repositories, community forums, and Hivestore interactions.

Last updated February 19, 2026

Professionalism first

We require everyone to interact with dignity and respect. We prioritize:

  • Inclusivity — welcoming language and empathy toward differing viewpoints.
  • Constructive discourse — focusing on code and architecture, not personal attributes or perceived skill.
  • Integrity — attributing code correctly and respecting the licensing terms of HiveLang templates.

Unacceptable conduct

The following behaviors result in immediate expulsion from community spaces:

  • Harassment — sustained disruption of threads, personal attacks, or unwelcome sexual attention.
  • Doxing — publishing another user's private information or physical location.
  • Marketplace sabotage — knowingly publishing non-functional or malicious agents to harm the Hivestore's reputation.
  • Impersonation — claiming to be an official Bothive moderator or contributor without authorization.

Agentic etiquette

When building community agents, authors must ensure their agents don't exhibit bias or generate toxic output. LLMs are inherently unpredictable, so authors are responsible for safety system prompts that align with these values.

Reporting

If you witness a violation, email safety@bothive.cloud. All reports are treated confidentially.

Enforcement levels

  • Warning — for minor etiquette infractions.
  • Temporary ban — for repeated minor or first-time moderate infractions.
  • Permanent expulsion — for harassment, doxing, or malicious agent deployment.
